Recently I was using Git clone on a Tencent cloud server in China and the Github service was never able to connect. I had no choice but to start looking for the Fast Git service, but my search was in vain. So I thought I'd build my own.

Temporary replacement of Git links

git clone{author}/{repo}

Permanent replacement of Git links

git config --global url."".insteadOf ""
git config protocol.https.allow always

Edit Git configuration


git config --global --list


git config --global --edit

Install Latest git on CentOS 7 from End Point repository

Remove old git:

sudo yum -y remove git
sudo yum -y remove git-*

Add End Point CentOS 7 repo

sudo yum -y install

Once repository is added, install Git 2.x on CentOS 7

sudo yum install git

Check git version

git --version
